Volunteers of #SGVP #Gurukul #Canada, Vedanshee Patel and Beena Patel (#Pharmacist) organized an Awareness Camp on #Menstruation, #Menstrual #hygiene and #PCOS at the Rushikesh Vidyalaya in Navi Fatehvadj Village, #Sarkhej, #Ahmedabad India on September 7th, 2022. A total of 110 girls from grades 9 to 12 attended the event where the school staff along with our volunteers explained menstruation, menstrual cycle and the myths related to menstruation. Practical demonstrations of how to practise #yoga and #pranayama on a daily basis to prevent menstruation related issues and #Polycystic #ovary #syndrome (#PCOS) were given. Every girl was given a pack of #sanitary #pads for free, along with a demonstration of how to use the pads. #Diets and various home #remedies used for PCOS were also discussed in the event. We are very thankful for the kind help and support from the principal, Mr. Amrish Zinzuvadiya.
