SGVP Gurukul Canada humbly invites you to join a special seva project to support 200 young Rishikumaras (students) studying at SGVP Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya (Darshanam Sanskrit Sansthan) in India. These students receive traditional Vedic education along with modern subjects in a Gurukul environment, where their education, accommodation, food, and daily needs are all provided free of cost.

As the project organizer, SGVP Gurukul Canada is coordinating a drive to provide each of the 200 students with a complete “Equip a Scholar” kit that covers their educational materials and essential daily-use items for the year. This ensures that every child can focus on study and sadhana without the burden of basic material needs.
Each kit for one student includes (per student):
Notebooks – 12 units
Pens – 5 units; Pencils – 5 units
School bag – 1 unit; Compass box (geometry set) – 1 unit
Sandhyapatra (water vessel for worship) – 1 unit; Mala (prayer beads) – 2 units
Puja asan (worship mat) – 1 unit; Gaumukhi (Gomukhi japa bag) – 2 units
Vedic attire (Vedic vastram) – 2 pairs; Sitting mat (asan) – 2 units
Toothpaste – 2; Toothbrush – 2; Tongue cleaner (Uliyu) – 2 units
Bath soap – 3; Laundry soap/detergent bar – 3 units
Handwash bottles – 2; Shampoo – 2; Hair oil – 2 units
Bucket and mug (tumbler) – 1 set
Bed sheet – 1 unit

A donation of $100 CAD sponsors one complete kit for one student for the year.
$100 CAD = one fully equipped Rishikumara (education and daily-need kit for one year).
You may sponsor multiple students or make a general contribution of any amount towards this project.
Every kit you sponsor directly serves a child at Darshanam Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya and strengthens the preservation and propagation of Vedic and Sanskrit heritage.
