Connecting to Culture Through Books.

Our aim is to provide basic learning and cultural books to children of all ages, to enhance their knowledge of the Gujarati Language and culture. Each child will be able to read or listen to books with their parents or grandparents. Shared reading can facilitate enriched language exposure, foster the development of listening skills, spelling, reading comprehension and vocabulary, and establish essential foundational literacy skills. It is also valued as a shared social opportunity between parents and their children to foster positive attitudes toward understanding their culture.

We have given 50 basic learning books for younger kids to WRDSB Gujarati Language School. Our next step is to provide 50 intermediate learning books and 400 reading books.

Our target is to support at least 10 learning centers with Gujarati Books.
